Ernest Ngubo is a former CEO and founding member of Igoda Projects (Pty) Ltd, with over 30 years of experience in the engineering industry. Starting his career at Unilever in the mid-80s, he went on to establish a consulting engineering firm before co-founding IGODA in 1997 with a group of young engineers. 

In 2001, as CEO of Igoda Projects, Ernest initiated and concluded a joint venture agreement between Fluor Corporation and Igoda, which dominated the Small Capital Projects (Operations and Maintenance) space in the Petrochemical sector for over 15 years. 

Ernest is the Founder and former General Secretory of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE- SA); a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers and previously served in the Regional Committee of the Black Management Forum (BMF). 

He is the former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fluor Igoda Pty) Ltd, Director and Owner of Envihold GROUP Pty Ltd (through his Family Trust), and is the Non- Executive Director in the JSE listed Santova Ltd.
